An Interactive CV is a visually engaging
website that enables an individual to demonstrate their skills, abilities, talents, experiences and interests. ICVs incorporate multimedia forms such as graphic design, photography, video editing, web design with literacy, personal development and enterprise. It is an excellent networking, marketing and promotional tool for individuals who want to create better education, training, career or business opportunities for themselves.
For so many years, we have looked to a two to three page CV as our main promotional tool/selling point. However, it is becoming more and more apparent that it is impossible to represent ourselves and demonstrate our qualities, skills, abilities, interests, personalities and characteristics in such a limited space....and here it begins....the creation of ICVs.
ICVs are not a replacement, but instead a visually engaging alternative or addition to the CV. An ICV is a website that has the ability to display and present downloadable portfolios of work (PDF, Word files), visual images (pictures, photographs, artwork, illustrations), video and audio files and many other features. This enables people to have a platform to exhibit work and sell work through e-commerce, market ideas and express themselves through the use of photography, graphic design, music, art work, literature and many other creative art forms.
