Art of
life workshops include exercises,
activities, tasks and projects that are designed
to
engage,encourage
and enable students and
participants
to explore and address a variety of subjects and issues.
The workshops encourage participants to feel comfortable and positive about expressing their individuality.
This enables them to develop the confidence to explore effective and unique ways
to comminicate with others and document their thoughts, feelings and ideas in new creative ways.
Our workshops take place within schools, prisons, drug and alcohol treatment centres that have residential and day centre facilities, youth clubs, colleges, community settings and within the public and private sectors.
We have over 500 structured workshops that
range from one hour in length to one year.
Additionally we specialise in tailor-made
workshops and courses that reflect the specific
requirements and needs of the client groups and
organisations we work with.
Each workshop also involves
facilitators working with you to develop a website
which will enable you to store all your creative
work and any other information you may want to
include. This will result in you having a great
visually engaging, interactive archive that
reflects the diverse and worthwhile work you do.
Through our workshops and courses
we look at diverse ways to explore and approach
issues and subjects, deliver groups/training and
produce resources.
This multi-sensory
approach to training is designed to give
organisations and individuals the opportunity to
learn new invaluable and effective tools and
techniques that can be applied to all aspects of
their work.
The art of
life LIFE
MAP is an excellent tool that
students use to write down their thoughts, ideas, feelings on
different subjects, issues, experiences and ideas
they would like to explore. It enables them to
see the different elements and aspects of their
life mapped out in front of them. They are able to
make connections and visualise their
current situation, reflect on past situations
and look at the positive changes that they
can make to their lives and the new paths they
would like to explore. Students can also use their
life map to structure work and develop ideas and
make notes.
We also have a multi-sensory range of creative toolkits which
include booklets, cd-roms and
games. The great thing about the creative
toolkits is that they can be applied to any
discipline, subject, and audience. Additionally
students and particpants can build on the creative
toolkits and develop their own creative toolkits
with the resources provided. This makes it more
personal and significant as it will relateto their
own experiences, interests and
skills.
The workshops
are structured using effective lesson plans that
are split into sections. This includes the time
allocated to a particular exercise, the
resources and
materials used and the creative art forms that we
will be using for the particular workshop.
We design
questionnaires for every workshop in order to
elicit ideas and encourage ideas and
thinking in students because we want them to
explore and develop ideas with confidence and
enthusiasm.
We
assess how
they feel about what they are learning,
identify what they would like to
explore and how the particular
workshop can be applied to other areas in their
life (other subjects they are studying,
relationships, self-development, self-esteem,
communication skills etc)
