Prison and Drug Rehabilitation Work
We are about to start a series of residencies and workshops within prisons throughout the UK. The ICV Programme is designed to give men and women serving custodial sentences and ex-offenders resettling into the community the opportunity and tools to create better career, training, education and business prosepects through the production of their own visually engaging marketing and networking tools.
The ICV programme incorporates personal development, literacy, creative arts and enterprise into weekly workshops.
* In order to run an ICV workshop internet access is not required.
Students will be able to enrol on the ICV Programme during their sentences and continue to update their sites upon their release.
The aims and objectives of the programme are to equip them with new transeferable skills, provide positive and healthy networking platforms, as well as to raise their confidence and self-esteem. As a result their chances of reoffending are reduced. The websites will be a great reference point for educational institutions, employers and funding organisations to view the diverse qualities, skills and talents that they possess as well as see examples of their work.
Through the workshops, students will learn the skills involved in developing and updating a website. We will also be facilitating training day sessions with teachers and trainers in order to equip them with the skills to incorporate aspects of the workshops within their lessons and to assist students in updating their sites.
